Ingredients
2 cups mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk, any kind is fine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup self-rising flour
1 cup pecans, chopped
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Butter 9- x 9-inch baking dish. Add sweet potatoes, salt, 1 stick butter, sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla to dish and mix well.
Combine brown sugar, flour, remaining 1/2 stick butter, and pecans, then spread on top of potatoes.
Bake until brown on top, about 35 minutes.
