Ingredients

4 chicken breasts, diced

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp cloves

5 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 tsp cardamom

1/4 tsp orange peel

1/4 tsp allspice

1/4 c tomato sauce

1 can diced tomatoes

1 large onion

1 and 1/2 c chicken broth

2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley - garnish

1/2 c dried currants or golden raisins - garnish

1 tbsp olive oil

1 c bulgur wheat

Preparation

Heat olive oil in large frying pan, add chicken and onion and sautee until onions are tender and chicken is browned. Stir in tomato sauce, simmer 1 minute. Add tomatoes and spices, simmer 1 minute. Add broth, bring to a boil and then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes (covered). Add bulgur and simmer 25-30 min until liquid is absorbed.

Add currants and parsley before serving.
