Ingredients

miniature pumpernickel loaf slices (small square one from deli)

1 8 oz package cream cheese

1 envelope italian salad dressing mix

fresh basil leaves

grape tomatoes, halved

Preparation

mix cream cheese and 1/2 to entire package of italian dressing mix (to taste)

spread cream cheese mixture on bread squares

top each square with a small basil leaf and 1 or 2 grape tomato halves, cut side up.

  • make a greek variation by adding feta crumbles to the cream cheese mixture, topping with greek olive halves, and substituting a red onion slice for the basil
