Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup raisins
6 tbsp. margarine
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 egg slightly beaten
Preparation
Sift flour,sugar,baking powder and salt.Stir in raisins.Cut in margarine til mixture resembles coarse crumbs.Add 1 beaten egg and milk,stirring just til dough clings together.Knead gently 12-15 strokes.Cut dough in half.Shape each half into ball and pat or roll,1/2 inch thick.Cut each circle onto 6 or 8 wedges.Place wedges on ungreased sheet.Brush with 1 slightly beaten egg. Bake at 425 degrees F. 12 to 15 minutes.
