Ingredients
DOUGH
1 stick butter or margarine
3 oz cream cheese
1 cup flour
FILLING
¾ cups brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 pinch salt
⅔ cup chopped walnuts
Preparation
Mix butter and cream cheese until creamy. Add flour and mix well, Form small balls about one inch and spread into mini-muffin pans with wooden tamper to form shell. Do not grease pans.
Mix sugar, egg, salt, butter and vanilla together. Add nuts and mix well. Pour ½ tsp filling into each cup and bake at 350° for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown. When done, remove from pans, cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Keep in airtight container to retain moisture.
