Ingredients
1 package yellow cake mix with pudding
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup rum or southern comfort
3 eggs
1 cup chopped pecans
Glaze: 1/4 pound butter
1/4 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup rum or southern comfort
Preparation
Mix first 5 ingredients according to package directions. Distribute nuts evenly in the bottom of a 10 inch greased and floured cake tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Cool and invert. Prick with toothpick and pour glaze over cake. Store in refrigerator wrapped tightly in celephane.
Glaze Melt butter, add sugar and water. Boil 5 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add booze. Pour over cake.
