Ingredients
3 C. Granulated Sugar
3/4 C. Butter
(salted or unsalted)
2/3 C. Evaporated milk
12 oz. Pkg. Chocolate chips
( I use milk chocolate chips)
1 jar of marshmallow cream (regular size)
1 C. chopped pecans
1 t. vanilla
1 C. shredded coconut
2 C. Old Fashion Rolled Oats
(do not use quick oatmeal)
Preparation
Put sugar,butter and milk in a deep to 235 degrees on a candy thermometer. ( Soft Ball stage) Add Marshmallow cream and stir til mixed and creamy, now add the chocolate chips and stir til completely mixed. Now add the Oats, Coconut and pecans and stir til mixed. Spoon onto waxed paper while still hot and let the Hay Stacks cool at room temp.
