Ingredients
1 c. water
4 T cocoa
2 sticks butter
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/2 c sour cream
1 tsp baking soda
Frosting
1 T butter or margarine
4 T cocoa
6 T milk
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
Preparation
Bring water, cocoa, and butter to a boil. Remove from heat and add flour, sugar, and salt, mixing well. Beat in eggs, sour cream and baking soda and pour into a jelly-roll pan that has been sprayed with oil. Bake at 375 for 20 to 22 minutes. Top with frosting while still hot from the oven.
Frosting
Combine butter cocoa, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. Beat well and spread over hot cake.
