Ingredients
2 c. flour 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar 2 eggs beaten
2 sticks margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
Frosting
1/2 c. butter
6 Tbsp. prepared coffee or milk
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Combine margarine, cocoa and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour, mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, and soda. Mix well. Pour in greased 15x12 inch pan and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Frost with following frosting while slightly warm.
Frosting
In medium saucepan, bring the cocoa, butter, and coffee or milk to a boil. Remove from heat and add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat well and spread over cake.
