Ingredients

2 c. flour

1 c. sugar

½ t. salt

2 sticks margarine

1 c. water

3 T. cocoa

2 eggs, well beaten

1 t. soda

½ c. buttermilk

1 t. vanilla

1 t. cinnamon

Chocolate Frosting

1 stick margarine

3 T. margarine

3 T. cocoa

6 T. milk

1 box powdered sugar

½ c. pecans

1 t. vanilla

Preparation

Cake Preparation: In a saucepan put margarine, water and cocoa. Bring it to a boil and pour over the flour and sugar mixture. In another bowl, put eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Add to above mixture and mix well. Bake in a greased and floured shallow cake pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost with chocolate frosting.

Frosting Preparation: Mix margarine, cocoa and milk in a saucepan. Heat on low. Do not boil. Remove from heat and add sugar, pecans and vanilla. Mix well. Frost when you take the cake out of the oven.
