Ingredients
1 cup seasoned rice vinegar
1 cup sugar (can be 1/2 white, and 1/2 brown)
2 Tblsp chili-garlic sauce
2 Tblsp soya sauce
1 Tblsp chopped/crushed garlic
1 Tblsp finely chopped chives to garnish
Preparation
Heat the vinegar and sugar in a saucepan on high heat for 3-4 minutes, until the sugar dissolves. Add soya sauce and salt and stir. Continue cooking at moderately hight heat for 10-30 minutes, depending on desired thickness. Remove from the fire. Add chili-garlic sauce and the garlic. Stir to blend and let cool. Serve.
