Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) of room temperature butter (unsalted or salted)

1 cup of granulated sugar

1 cup of brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

2 1/2 cups of flour

2 1/2 cups of oatmeal

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

8-12 oz chocolate chips

1 chocolate bar (optional)

nuts (optional)

Preparation

preheat oven to 375 degrees

  1. cream together the butter and sugars
  2. add the eggs and vanilla
  3. measure two and half cups of oatmeal and slowly add it to the blender until it is finely ground to a flour-like consistancy
  4. add the combined flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and oatmeal, mix well
  1. stir in a melted chocolate bar (optional) and some nuts (optional)
  2. stir in the chocolate chips
  3. roll them into golf ball sized balls and put them on a oiled/greased baking pan/sheet…
  4. bake for 7 minutes
