Ingredients
1 C. Corn Syrup (white)
1 C. Water
2 C. Sugar
4 C. Raw/Spanish Peanuts
2 TBSP. Butter
2 Tsp. Vanilla
2 Tsp. baking soda
½ Tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation
Combine sugar, syrup, and water in sauce pan. Bring slowly to 230 degrees. Then add peanuts continue to 300 degrees. Remove from heat add butter, vanilla, soda and salt. Stir until blended. Pour into a buttered cookie sheet. Tip sheet back and fourth to even out. Better if you overcook this than undercook.
