Ingredients

1 (15-0unce) can chickpeas/garbanzo beans

1 medium garlic clove, minced or pressed

3/4 teaspoon salt

pinch of cayenne pepper

3 Tablespoons juice from 1 large lemon

1/4 cup tahini

1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1/4 cup water

Preparation

Process all ingredients in a food processor, about 40 seconds. Transfer hummus to serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap and chill until the flavors meld, at least 30 minutes. Serve cold. hummus can be refrigerated up to 2 days.
