Ingredients
5 eggs
1 tub mascarpone cheese (TreStelle 475g)
6 tbsp white sugar
1 1/2 ounces (to taste) Brandy/Grand Marnier
2 packages Lady fingers
3 cups strong coffee
some cocoa powder or chocolate shavings
Preparation
- Separate eggs. Add the yolks to the mascarpone cheese.
- Add sugar and liquor. Whisk/beat.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg-whites until they are stiff.
- Dip the Lady Fingers in the coffee and place in a tray.
- Fold egg-whites into the Mascarpone mixture. The more air, the better.
- Spread the Mascarpone mixture on top of the Lady Fingers.
- Repeat this layering process and end with the Mascarpone mixture.
- Top with cocoa powder/chocolate shavings.
- Refrigerate and serve cold.
