Ingredients
1 C Shortening (1/2 Butter, ½ Margerine) | Beat until light (this will take a while)
1 C. Brown Sugar, packed |
Add 1 Egg, Blend
1 tsp Vanilla
2 C Flour
½ tsp Salt
Preparation
Mix well, spread in 10X15 pan. Bake @ 375º 20 minutes.
Place ½ lb. milk chocolate on top after removing from oven. Spread when melted and sprinkle with nuts. Cut while warm.
You can also use a combination of chocolate chips and butterscotch chips on top and swirl them together. You can also use mint chips. For Christmas cookies I make three different batches and use each of these as a topping
