Ingredients
saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1-2 cups chocolate chips
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375- 400 degrees
- Line cookie sheet with saltine crackers in single layer over aluminum foil (for easy clean up)
- In a saucepan combine the sugar and the butter. Stir while bringing to a boil then let sit for 3 minutes when it starts to boil (no stirring at this time). Immediately pour over saltines and spread to cover crackers completely.
- Bake 5 - 7 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let sit for 5 minutes. Spread melted chocolate and top with chopped nuts (optional). Cool completely and break into pieces.
