Ingredients
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
5 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese
1 tsp dried oregano
salt & pepper
1 - 12 oz package extra firm tofu
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 C prepared spaghetti sauce
1 clove garlic minced
4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation
- Combine bread crumbs, 2 Tbsp. paremesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper in shallow bowl.
- Slice tofu (long way) in 1/4 inch slices and place in bowl of cold water.
- Press tofu slices into bread crumb mixture and coat evenly.
- Heat oil in skillet over medium and crisp tofu slices on both sides.
- Place a thin layer of spaghetti sauce in an 8 inch square baking pan. Arrange tofu slices on top. Spoon remaining sauce over tofu. Sprinkle with mozarella & remaining parmesan cheese. 6 Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
