Ingredients
1-1/2 cup water
1 lb. peeled green raw tomatillos (for best results use tomatillo milpero)
50 each chiles de arbol
6 each fresh garlic cloves (large)
2 oz. fresh white onion
1 each Roma tomato (large)
½ tsp. ground black pepper
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. ground cumin
3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. whole Mexican oregano
Preparation
In a blender, put water, chiles, fresh garlic, onion, Roma tomato, black pepper, cinnamon, cumin, salt, sugar, oregano, and blend until smooth. Add the raw tomatillos and blend to taste. I like it semi-smooth. It can be semi-coarse or coarse if you like.
