Ingredients

crust-

1 cup flour

2tsp pwder sugar

one stick of cold unsalter butter, cut

2 tsp fresh basil

1 tsp mince fresh chives 1 or 2 eggs if desired optional

filling-

2 large or 4 small tomatoes

1 cup asiago cheese

2/3 cup of half/half or whole milk

3 tbsp dry white wine

3 eggs beaten

2 tbsp fresh basil

2 tbsp fresh chives

salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

crus preheat oven to 375F combine flour, sugar, butter and herbs in food processor.

process until dought forms a large ball. Press dought to 1/8 in thickness and up the sides of tart pan. bake shell for 10-15 minutes and remove from oven.

filling- cut tomatoes into 1/4 in. slices and remove seeds. set aside to drain. combine cheese, milk, wine, eggs basil and chives. pour int crust and place tomatoes on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes just until mixture has set. cool for 10 min.
