Ingredients

1 Med onion, finely diced

2 Tsp salt

2-1/4 Tsp dried basil

3 Tbsp flour

1 Tsp black pepper

½ Tsp baking soda

½ Tsp sugar

3 C chicken stock

25oz Can diced tomatoes

26oz Can crushed tomatoes

2 C heavy whipping cream

3 Tbsp chopped fresh basil

Oil to sauté onion in

Preparation

In a large stockpot, sauté onion until tender. Add next 4 ingredients and whisk. Add chicken stock, whisk. Add tomatoes, whisk. Cook over medium heat for 20 min. Add baking soda & sugar, simmer 15 min. Add whipping cream & chopped basil, stir & simmer 5 more min. Don’t burn your dang tongue.
