Ingredients

4 med. to large tomatoes

1/2 lb fresh mushrooms

Crisp lettuce leaves

Basil Dressing:

1 C salad oil

6 T vinegar

2 T lemon juice

dry basil, crumbled

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tsp sugar

1/2 tsp blk pepper

Preparation

Peel tomatoes and cut in 3/8 inch slices. Rinse and dry mushrooms and slice thinly. Layer tomatoes and mushrooms in shallow dish. Spoon Basil Dressing generously. Cover and chill 2 hours. Turn gently. To serve place tomatoes and mushrooms on top of lettuce leaves.
