Ingredients
1 lb very lean pork (ground fine)
1 small onion, diced
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup mashed potatoes
pastry recipe (below, or use your own)

4 1/2 cups four
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 lb butter
1 tbsp vinegar
1 egg
1/2 cup water
Preparation
pastry
sift together first 4 ingredients. mix next 4 and add to first mixture. form into pie-sized balls and freeze until needed (makes 5-6 crusts)
filling
fry meat with chopped onion until light brown. drain fat. add spices. mix in mashed potatoes. cool mixture. line 9 inch pan with pastry, fill with mixture. bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. best served with cranberries.
