Ingredients

3+lbs. Russet potatoes, scrubbed, pealed and thinly sliced.

1 sweet onion, coarsely chopped

1/2-2/3# Swiss cheese, grated.

whole nutmeg grated on a microplaine

salt & pepper

heavy cream

Preparation

place a layer of potatoes in a baking pan oiled with either butter or Pam, add onion, Swiss, nutmeg, salt and pepper, repeat layers. ending with Swiss Cheese. Pour enough cream over to about half way through thickness. Bake @ 350 for 75-90 minutes.
