Ingredients
·2 eggs
·6-ounce can tuna, drained and flaked
·4 slices bread, cubed into kitty-bite-size pieces
·1/2 teaspoon iodized salt
·1 teaspoon brewer’s yeast
·1 teaspoon bonemeal or crushed TUMS
·2 tablespoons margarine
Preparation
Beat eggs lightly in a bowl. Add the tuna, bread cubes, salt, brewer’s yeast and bonemeal. Mix thoroughly until moistened.
Form into small patties (we made ours about 2 inches in diameter). Melt the margarine in a skillet and fry the patties over medium heat until golden brown. When cool, crumble each patty and serve. Makes 3 to 5 kitty servings.
Notes: Brewer’s yeast, a great source of high-quality protein and vitamins, is widely available in health food stores. Bonemeal, a good source of calcium, is hard to find so if you cant find it try crushed TUMS
