Ingredients

1 large onion

2 medium red bell peppers

6 garlic cloves

2 lbs ground turkey

6 tbsp chili powder

1 tbsp cumin

1 tbsp oregano

1 tsp cinnamon

1 oz bittersweet chocolate

45 oz pinto beans (drained)

28 oz chopped tomatoes (drained)

3 c chicken broth

1 bottle beer

Preparation

Oil large pot. Saute onions and bell pepper on med-high heat to soften; about 8 minutes. Add garlic and saute another minute. Add turkey and saute until no longer pink; about 5 minutes. Mix in spices and chocolate; stir about 1 minute. Add beans, tomatoes, broth and beer. Bring chili to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook uncovered until chili thickens, stirring occasionally; about 1 hour. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with sour cream, grated cheddar and chopped onions.
