Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 cup red wine
1 tablespoon oregano
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt
pepper
Preparation
- Heat oil over medium heat. 2.
- Saute onions and carrots until soft.
- Add garlic and saute until it starts to smell good (about 2 minutes).
- Raise heat to medium high.
- Add ground turkey and brown thoroughly.
- Add fish sauce. Cook 1 minute.
- Add wine. Cook down until most of the liquid is gone.
- Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, bay leaves, salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer 20 minutes. Serve over pasta of your choice.
