Ingredients

2 cups left over stuffing*

1/2-3/4pound cooked sausage of your choice, drained well.

2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese.

5 eggs

2 cups milk (I used 2%)

1 teaspoon each sea salt and ground pepper

2 teaspoons bottled worcestershire sauce.

1 cup diced sauteed vegtables such as red or green bell peppers(optional)

My original stuffing was made with sourdough bread, celery, onion, poultry spices,chicken stock and cooked in the turkey.

Preparation

  1. Mix the bread and cheeses in a bowl.
  2. Add the cooked sausage and vegtables (if you are using them). Spread this mixture in a lightly greased shallow glass 2-3 qt. baking dish.
  3. Beat the eggs, add milk and the seasonings then pour over the bread mixture.
  4. Refrigerate 1/2-24 hours.
  5. Bake 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
  6. Serve with sides of salsa, sour cream, yogurt, fresh fruit or a green salad.
