Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 can crushed tomatoes
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon fish sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 bay leaf
Preparation
- heat oil in skillet over medium heat.
- saute onion until soft, about 5 minutes.
- saute garlic until it smells good, about 2 minutes.
- raise heat to high, brown meat thoroughly until almost all liquid is gone.
- add fish sauce. Cook 1 minute.
- add chili powder. Cook 1 minute.
- add tomatoes, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
- reduce heat to medium low and cook until most of the liquid is gone. Taste for seasoning.
- serve with taco shells and favorite toppings.
