Ingredients

2 x 7 g (1/4 oz) sachets dry yeast

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/2 cup (60 g/2 oz) plain flour

3 1/2 cups (435 g/14 oz) bread flour

(see note)

1/4 cup (60 ml/2 fl oz) olive oil

1 egg

Nigella or sesame seeds, to sprinkle

Preparation

  1. Mix yeast, sugar and 1/2 cup (125 ml/4 oz) warm water in a bowl. Add the plain flour and mix until smooth. Cover with a plate and leave for 30 minutes, or until frothy and tripled in size.
