12 lb boneless or 8 lb boned Turner Ham
Apple Juice
Preparation
Place ham into large enamel baking roaster, pouring enough apple juice in the roaster with the ham so as not to overfill. Put lid on roaster. Place covered ham in the oven and bring temperature to 500 degrees; cook for 15 minutes, then turn off the oven leaving the roaster in the oven. two hours later, turn the oven back on to 500 degrees and cook ham for 15 minutes. Turn the oven off and leave roaster in the oven overnight (6 - 7 hours) DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE COOKING PROCESS.
The next morning, remove the roaster from the oven, remove the ham from the roaster, discard the liquid and enjoy a delicious slice of country ham.
