Ingredients
1 lb ground Italian sausage
1 diced onion
4 slices bacon
2 cloves garlic
1 quart chicken stock
1 quart water
1 cup heavy cream
3 large potatoes, quartered
1 of a bunch of kale
Preparation
Brown Sausage and set aside.
In your soup pot, Cook bacon and set aside bacon, retaining fat.
Sautee onion and later garlic in bacon fat
Add Chicken stock, water, onion, sausage and potatoes.
When potatoes are tender, add Kale and bacon.
When kale is wilted, add cream. Heat gently and serve with a rusty bread!
