Ingredients

3 large apples, peeled & cubed

3 large oranges, sectioned

1 small pineapple, wedged

1 small cantalope, wedged

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup water

1/2 tsp lemon juice

2 cinnamon sticks

1/2 tsp whole cloves

1/2 tsp allspice

1 pint strawberries, sliced

Mint leaves

Preparation

In large bowl, combine fruit (excluding strawberries). In medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, lemon juice and cinnamon sticks. Tie cloves and allspice in cheesecloth, add to mixture. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cool. Remove cinnamon stciks and spice bag. Pour marinade over fruit. Cover and chill for several hours or overnight. Before serving stir in strawberries and garnish with mint leaves.
